Special guest: Ryan Elliott
Growing up as a DJ in Detroit, but coming into his own in Berlin, his sets expand on each city’s styles. A resident at both Berghain and Panorama Bar as well as Offenbach’s club Robert Johnson, he refuses to be aligned with just techno or house, instead highlighting their optimal overlaps. And as a producer, remixer, and founder of his own label, Faith Beat, Elliott releases music that is playable but unpredictable, perfectly calibrated for dancefloor impact and enduring enjoyment.
No matter what form his musical expression takes, with Elliott listeners always seem to get the
best of both worlds.

Special guest: Matthias
Moving to London from his native Trieste in the northeast coast of Italy, and then later to Germany in 2016, Matthias has been an instrumental player in Berlin’s nightlife for the past decade as the head of Superluminal. The label and long-running party series is a lab for minimal techno and many genres in between, a breeding ground for new ideas where he’ll famously play a primary synthesis of his own productions and white whale records. These releases and sets are marked by a cross-pollination of house, techno and electro; heaving frequencies that roll along at steady clip. In April of this year (and coinciding with Superluminal’s 9th birthday) he also released his debut album The Edge of Night, a nine-track opus that spans the realms of experimental and more dancefloor-configured terrain, a further exploration of the tonal landscapes he’s been treading since his early days as budding musician: profound, un-vacillating techno that binds together disparate sounds in new and elegant forms.
