Tadiman is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and one of the pioneers of the Slovenian reggae scene since 1995. He had his first concert in 1993 as the guitarist for the band Libido, opening for the legendary Slovenian group Lačni Franz. He started his Jamaican music journey as the author of a radio show called JahMekaMan (1995-2007) and a resident club selector in Maribor (1995-1999). In 1998, he founded the band Siti hlapci, which presented Slovenian reggae at festivals such as Rototom, Sunsplash, Uprising, Seasplash, Lent, Soča Riversplash, Overjam, Sziget, and many more, and put the local reggae scene on the national radio and TV charts.
Since 2009, he has also been the frontman for the Italian band Makako Jump and joined the Ufoslavians in 2016. So far, Tadiman has presented his music in 15 countries at festivals such as Boomtown, Rototom, Sziget, Mighty Sounds, Lowlands, Uprising, Lent, Overjam, and Seasplash, to mention only a few. He has worked with artists like Earl Chinna Smith, Sangie Davis, Fantan Mojah, Italee Watson, Nadirah X, Horsemouth Wallace, Dean Fraser, Israel Voice, Scarra Muchi, Bigga Ranx, Hornsman Coyote, Jahcoustics, Raphael, and many more.
His latest album Soljahs of Love was released in 2021 and features collaborations with prominent Jamaican artists, with the singles “More We Suffer” (feat. Israel Voice), “Bless Me” (feat. Fantan Mojah), “On Fire” (feat. Earl Chinna Smith & Sangie Davis), and “Trinity” (feat. Italee and Nadirah X). Tadiman also released songs with labels such as Soulove Records, House of Riddim Records, Roots in Session, Positive Reality, Sued Massive, and others. In 2023, he was grateful to participate as a songwriter and mixing producer on the song “Samo dalje” with Serbian reggae legends Del Arno Band.
In 2024, Tadiman presented his third Jamaican video and second collaboration with the legendary Earl Chinna Smith, which was shot at St. Andrew Park, Inna de Yard, the holy place of Roots Reggae music. This year, his song “Live Up” was featured on the U.K.’s Raider Records compilation Babylon Riddim.
Roots In the Woods Sound System is a sound system that brings together members of
two crews, Peace Messenjah and 3 Kings Sound Station. They are united by their love for
deep bass and the powerful message brought by reggae music. The members of Roots
In the Woods Sound System are also the organizers of the Roots in the Woods festival,
which has been ofering unforgettable musical events for many years.
They collect vinyl records, which they gladly play at their events. Their selection
predominantly features roots reggae, dub, and steppas dub sounds. They have been
involved in organizing numerous concerts and events, and since 2006, they have been
dedicated to nurturing the Slovenian reggae scene. At their parties, they ensure positive
vibrations and spread the message of peace, love, and equality through reggae music.
