RANDY BRECKER ospite a Folkest 2023
il 7 agosto prossimo il Castello di Udine ospiterà il mitico Randy Brecker con l’Orchestra dell’ Accademia Musicale Naonis sotto la direzione del Maestro Valter Sivilotti, al pianoforte Glauco Venier, in un programma dalle mille sfaccettature dedicato ai grandi del ‘900 come Duke Ellington, Cole Porter e George Gershwin: un omaggio alla grande musica americana reso magico dalla tromba di Brecker, uno tra i jazzisti più importanti degli ultimi cinquant’anni.
Vincitore di svariati Grammy Awards, Brecker si è esibito sui più importanti palcoscenici mondiali e vanta collaborazioni con artisti del calibro di Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa e Ringo Starr e Liza Minnelli. Compositore oltre che trombettista e suonatore di flicorno, è divenuto celebre per la sua versatilità e per la ricchezza di un suono che non ha paura di attraversare stili e musiche anche lontane fra di loro.

on 7 August the Castle of Udine will host the legendary Randy Brecker with the Orchestra of the Accademia Musicale Naonis under the direction of Maestro Valter Sivilotti, with Glauco Venier at the piano, in a multi-faceted programme dedicated to the greats of the 20th century such as Duke Ellington, Cole Porter and George Gershwin: a tribute to great American music made magical by the trumpet of Brecker, one of the most important jazz musicians of the last fifty years.
Winner of several Grammy Awards, Brecker has performed on the world’s most important stages and boasts collaborations with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa and Ringo Starr and Liza Minnelli. A composer as well as a trumpet and flugelhorn player, he has become renowned for his versatility and for the richness of his sound, which is not afraid to cross styles and music that are even far apart.
